Red Earth, and Pouring Rain

But in love
our hearts have mingled
as red earth and pouring rain.
From the Tamil anthology "Kuruntokai"
Translated by A.K.Ramanujan, in"The Interior Landscape: Love Poems from a Classical Tamil Anthology".
